Predsednik VZMD, mag. Kristjan Verbič, se bo 17. septembra udeležil kongresa Svetovne federacije investitorjev (World Federation of Investors Corporations - WFIC) v Sao Paulu v Braziliji. Srečal se bo s številnimi predstavniki posameznih nacionalnih združenj, vključenih v to ugledno in vplivno mednarodno institucijo, v katero je VZMD kot pridružen član vključen že od oktobra 2007. Na letošnjem kongresu bo, skladno z dosedanjimi dogovori in izpolnjenimi pogoji, pridobil polnopravno članstvo, kar je za VZMD in Slovenijo nedvomno vrhunski dosežek.
WFIC je globalna organizacija, ki je bila ustanovljena že leta 1960, letošnji kongres v Braziliji, ki bo potekal med 17. in 21. septembrom, pa predstavlja priložnost za investitorje in njihova združenja z vsega sveta, da se podrobneje seznanijo z značilnostmi brazilske ekonomije, pomembnimi brazilskimi podjetji ter priložnostmi hitre rasti in napredka tamkajšnjega gospodarstva.
Na srečanju, ki ga bosta gostili najpomembnejši brazilski finančni instituciji, INI (Združenje brazilskih investitorjev) in ExpoMoney, se bodo predstavili najvidnejši predstavniki brazilskega gospodarstva, med njimi PETROBRAS (Petroleo Brasileiro), osma največja naftna družba na svetu po tržni vrednosti, VALE, drugo največje rudarsko in železarsko podjetje na svetu, BRADESCO, 16. največja banka v svetu ter najvplivnejša zasebna banka in zavarovalnica v Južni Ameriki, brazilska borza BOVESPA Holding, BM&F, brazilska trgovinska in investicijska družba, ter številni drugi.
Tekom petdnevnega kongresa se bodo zvrstili številni odmevni dogodki, kot so zasedanje izvršnega odbora WFIC, ki bo potekalo v sredo, 17. septembra, ko se bo pri šesti točki dnevnega reda odločalo tudi o polnopravnem članstvu VZMD, v četrtek, 18. septembra, in v petek, 19. septembra, se bodo zvrstila predavanja strokovnjakov o možnostih investiranja v brazilske delnice in predstavitve večjih brazilskih družb, v petek pa se bo odvijalo srečanje predstavnikov članic WFIC. Kongres se bo zaključil s sobotnimi ogledi omenjenih brazilskih družb in srečanji z njihovimi upravljavci ter prostim dnem v nedeljo, 20. septembra, namenjenim individualnim pogovorom in sestankom.
Ob tem naj spomnimo, da so se, poleg številnih uglednih gostov ter najvidnejših predstavnikov WFIC, med 19. in 21. junijem dogodka v organizaciji VZMD, investo.si v Ljubljani, udeležili tudi trije predstavniki WFIC iz Brazilije, in sicer Paulo Portinho, Robert Dannenberg in Maria Luiza Da Cruz. Na omenjenem dogodku so aktivno sodelovali najvidnejši predstavniki slovenske vlade, institucij in gospodarstva, med njimi tudi minister za finance, dr. Andrej Bajuk, državni sekretar Ministrstva za gospodarstvo, mag. Tomaž Jeršič in župan Ljubljane, g. Zoran Jankoviæ, ter priznani tuji strokovnjaki, dr. Erhard Busek, koordinator pakta za stabilnost JV Evrope, dr. Giorgio Dominese, koordinator CEEUN ter dr. Felix Unger, predsednik Evropske akademije znanosti in umetnosti (EASA).
